Role Description The Academic Editor at ReScholar is a full-time, in office role based in New Delhi. This role involves reviewing and editing academic manuscripts, research papers, and related documents to ensure clarity, coherence, and adherence to publication standards.

The Academic

Editor will check for accuracy in citations and references, improve structure and flow, and ensure compliance with style guidelines. The position also includes providing constructive feedback to authors, coordinating with the editorial team and reviewers, and managing timelines so that submissions progress smoothly through the publication process.

Qualifications

- Strong academic editing and proofreading abilities, with attention to grammar, style, and consistency.
- Experience working with research manuscripts, scholarly articles, or academic publications across disciplines.
- Familiarity with common citation and formatting styles (e.g., APA, MLA, Chicago) and academic writing conventions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, constructive feedback to authors.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in an editorial team environment.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field such as English, Communications, Social Sciences, or a scientific discipline.
- Demonstrated commitment to research integrity, intellectual property protection, and ethical publishing practices.
- Prior experience in an editorial or publishing role is preferred but not mandatory.
