Role Description The Assistant Merchant role at Global Craft Inc. is a full-time, on-site position based in Moradabad. This role supports the merchandising team in managing product assortments, tracking orders, and coordinating with production, sourcing, and quality teams. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with product selection, preparing line sheets, maintaining item and pricing data, and monitoring inventory and sales performance. The Assistant Merchant will help analyze sales trends, gather market and competitor information, and provide input on product improvements and new designs.



The role also involves communicating with vendors, following up on samples and deliveries, preparing reports and presentations, and supporting seasonal planning and buying activities.
Qualifications

- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage product data, track orders, and support inventory and sales reporting.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other office productivity tools; comfort working with spreadsheets, lists, and basic data analysis.
- Effective communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication for coordination with internal teams and external vendors.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining product information, pricing, documentation, and merchandising materials.
- Interest in merchandising, retail, home décor, or handcrafted products, with a willingness to learn market and trend dynamics.
- Ability to work collaboratively on-site in Moradabad, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant education such as a diploma or bachelor’s degree in business, merchandising, fashion, retail management, or a related field.
- Prior experience or internship in merchandising, buying, or retail operations is preferred but not mandatory.
