About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team and help build and support applications used across Teladoc Health.
This is a hands-on full-stack role. You will spend most of your time designing, building, testing, and supporting software, with a primary focus on Ruby on Rails and React. You will work closely with other engineers, product managers, and technical partners to solve problems and deliver reliable software to production.
We are also adopting AI-assisted development tools as part of our engineering workflow. We value engineers who know how to use tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar tools to speed up development, testing,



debugging, and documentation while still applying positive engineering judgment.
Healthcare experience is a plus. Experience with FHIR, HL7, Mirth Connect, EHR/EMR integrations, or other healthcare interoperability technologies is helpful, but it is not required.

What You'll Be Doing
• Build and maintain backend services and APIs using Ruby on Rails.

• Build and maintain frontend applications using React, JavaScript, and/or TypeScript.

• Design and develop REST APIs and integrations with other applications and services.

• Work with databases and write SQL as part of day-to-day development and troubleshooting.

• Work with Kafka or other messaging/event-driven systems where appropriate.

• Participate in technical design discussions and help make decisions about application architecture.

• Write unit and integration tests and help maintain a strong automated test suite.
