Role Description The Medical Coder (Orthopedic/Podiatry) is a full-time, on-site role based in New Delhi. The individual in this position will review clinical documentation, assign accurate and compliant medical codes for orthopedic and podiatry services, and ensure alignment with payer and regulatory requirements. Daily responsibilities include validating codes for diagnoses and procedures, collaborating with clinical and billing teams to clarify documentation,



and supporting clean claim submission to minimize denials. The role also involves monitoring coding-related trends, contributing to process improvements, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines and payer policies.
Qualifications

• Demonstrated medical coding experience, particularly in orthopedic and podiatry specialties.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and Health Information Management principles.
• Relevant coding credentials such as RHIT or equivalent qualified certification.
• Strong understanding of medical coding standards, coding systems, and regulatory requirements.
• Attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to interpret complex clinical documentation.
• Proficiency with coding and billing software and familiarity with revenue cycle processes.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
