Key Expert – Cancer Treatment Protocols Expert (Cat. II)

NTU International is currently identifying qualified experts for the EU-funded project “Technical Assistance to the Syrian Ministry of Health – Strengthening Institutional Capacity and Governance.”

The assignment aims to support the institutional strengthening and governance capacities of the Syrian Ministry of Health, contributing to more effective institutional performance, evidence-based decision-making, accountability and sustainable capacity development.

In this context, we are seeking a highly qualified Key Expert – Cancer Treatment Protocols Expert (Cat. II) to provide strategic and technical assistance in the development, harmonisation and implementation of evidence-based systemic anti-cancer therapy protocols, with particular emphasis on chemotherapy,



medication safety, pharmacovigilance and clinical quality assurance.

Qualifications and Skills Required
• Medical degree with board certification or equivalent specialisation in Clinical Oncology, Medical Oncology, Haematology-Oncology or Clinical Pharmacology.
• A Master's degree in Public Health or a related field is considered an asset.
• Strong capacity to harmonise cancer treatment practices across geographically dispersed and unevenly resourced oncology centres.
• Sound understanding of pharmaceutical supply-chain and quality-assurance considerations affecting essential cancer medicines.
• Ability to facilitate consensus-building among clinical stakeholders on standardised, evidence-based treatment pathways.
• Prior experience supporting ministries of health or national cancer-control programmes in post-conflict or early-recovery contexts is strongly preferred.
