Role Description:
• This role involves preparing the operating room, ensuring all surgical instruments and supplies are sterile and available, and assisting surgeons and the surgical team throughout procedures.
• The Scrub Nurse is responsible for maintaining aseptic technique, anticipating surgical needs, handling instruments, and supporting the team in managing operative specimens and documentation.
• Day-to-day tasks include pre-operative checks, intra-operative support, post-operative handover, collaborating with anesthetic and recovery teams, and adhering to hospital protocols and safety standards to promote optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications:
• Candidates should possess robust skills in Nursing and Medicine for safe, evidence-based perioperative care.
• Candidates should possess skills related to Surgery and Operating Room procedures to support a range of surgical specialties.




• Candidates should possess familiarity with Orthopedic Surgery and other surgical disciplines commonly performed in a multi–super speciality setting.
• Current nursing registration and license as per local regulatory requirements.
• Diploma or degree in Nursing from an accredited institution; additional perioperative nursing certification is an advantage.
• Prior experience as a Scrub Nurse or in an operating room environment is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of infection control, sterile techniques, and patient safety standards.
• Effective communication, teamwork, and the ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by surgical schedules.
