NTU International is currently identifying qualified experts for the EU-funded project “Technical Assistance to the Syrian Ministry of Health – Strengthening Institutional Capacity and Governance.”

The assignment aims to support the institutional strengthening and governance capacities of the Syrian Ministry of Health, contributing to more effective institutional performance, evidence-based decision-making, accountability and sustainable capacity development.

In this context, we are seeking a highly qualified Key Expert – National Cancer Registry & Digital Transformation Expert (Cat. II) to provide strategic and technical assistance in the design, establishment, modernisation and strengthening of cancer registration systems,



including their integration with national health information systems and broader digital health infrastructure.
The expert will contribute to strengthening the quality, completeness, reliability and interoperability of cancer registry data, supporting improved cancer surveillance, health planning and evidence-based public health policy.

Qualifications and Skills Required
• Master's degree in Epidemiology, Public Health, Health Informatics, Biostatistics, Oncology, or a closely related discipline.
• A medical degree with postgraduate specialisation in Oncology or Epidemiology is also acceptable.
• Sound understanding of data governance, confidentiality and ethical safeguards applicable to population-based disease registries.
• Ability to design registry-specific standard operating procedures, case-definition manuals and data-quality assurance protocols.
