Role Description The Zero Trust Platform Engineer with Zscaler will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and maintaining Zero Trust security solutions with a focus on Zscaler platforms. This part-time remote role involves working closely with internal and client teams to design secure network architectures, integrate Zscaler services, and optimize access controls. The engineer will monitor platform performance, investigate security incidents, and resolve technical issues related to connectivity, authentication, and policy enforcement.

Day-to-day tasks include creating and updating technical documentation, participating in security reviews, collaborating with developers and infrastructure teams,



and recommending improvements to ensure robust, scalable, and compliant Zero Trust environments.

Qualifications

- Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving issues in network security, access control, and cloud-based platforms.
- Experience with software development and programming to support automation, integration, and customization of Zscaler and related Zero Trust solutions.
- Knowledge of infrastructure concepts, including networks, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Familiarity with databases for logging, monitoring, and supporting security analytics.
- Hands-on experience with Zscaler products (ZIA, ZPA) or similar Zero Trust solutions.
- Understanding of security frameworks and best practices (e.g., Zero Trust, NIST, CIS benchmarks).
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Zscaler certifications, network or security certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Security+) are an advantage.
