Role Description The Weaving Shift Officer is responsible for supervising weaving operations during assigned shifts at the on-site facility in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar. This full-time role includes monitoring loom performance, ensuring fabric quality, and coordinating machine settings and changeovers according to production plans. The position requires overseeing shift staff, assigning tasks, and supporting operators with troubleshooting to minimize downtime.

The Weaving Shift

Officer will maintain accurate shift reports, track production targets and material usage, and ensure adherence to safety, housekeeping, and maintenance schedules. This role also involves communicating with maintenance, quality,



and production planning teams to resolve issues and support continuous improvement in weaving processes.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of weaving processes, loom operation, and fabric construction, with the ability to interpret technical specifications and production orders.
- Experience in shift supervision or shop-floor coordination, including workforce management, task allocation, and basic conflict resolution.
- Capability to monitor quality parameters, perform visual and dimensional checks on woven fabric, and collaborate with quality teams to address defects.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices, machine safety procedures, and safe handling of tools, materials, and equipment.
- Effective communication and record-keeping skills, including the ability to prepare shift reports, maintain production logs, and use basic computer applications.
- Strong problem-solving attitude, attention to detail, and readiness to work in a rapid-paced manufacturing environment with rotating or fixed shifts.
- Diploma or degree in Textile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field; equivalent hands-on experience in weaving production may be considered.
- Prior experience in textile or denim weaving operations is highly beneficial; familiarity with modern weaving machinery and automation is an advantage.
