Synkyn Studios is a cinematic, AI-first creative studio based in Bengaluru, serving brands that seek premium production quality without the constraints of traditional production.

The studio produces commercials, product films, CGI visuals, storyboards and social content, with scripting, direction and finishing handled in-house. Its work includes full sequences, set extensions, period-accurate environments, automotive and FMCG campaigns, platform-specific cutdowns and print-ready campaigns.

About the Role





Synkyn Studios is seeking a Gen AI Artist + Video Editor for whom editing is the primary discipline.

The core of the role is editing, including story, pacing, sound, colour and finishing. The role also involves Gen AI work: generating and refining the shots, inserts and plates required by the edit.

Candidates are not expected to be Gen AI specialists at the outset. However, a working foundation is required, including the ability to generate images and video, write effective prompts and assess the usability of outputs. Training and support will be provided to develop these skills further within our pipeline.

The work spans a wide range of formats, from 30-second brand commercials and feature film teasers to high-volume social media deliverables on short timelines.

Key Responsibilies

Editing. Manage commercials, product films, brand films and teasers from brief and rushes through to final delivery.

Multi-format delivery. Develop the master edit and adapt it into 6, 15, 30 and 60-second versions across 16:9, 9:16, 4:5 and 2.39:1 for television, OTT and social platforms.

Finishing. Carry out colour grading, sound design, music editing and a basic mix to deliver client-ready outputs.

Gen AI production. Generate shots and inserts required by the edit, maintain consistency of characters, products and lighting, and upscale, retime and refine footage to meet large-screen standards.

Motion graphics. Create titles, supers, end cards and motion graphics in line with brand guidelines.

Pre-production support. Assist in developing storyboards, animatics and previsualisation for pitches and productions.

AI VFX support. Contribute to set extensions, environment and crowd plates,



and compositing to integrate generated elements seamlessly with live-action footage.

Workflow management. Ensure timely incorporation of feedback, clear version control and well-organised project files.

Continuous learning. Evaluate emerging models and workflows and share relevant findings with the team.

Requirements

- A showreel demonstrating robust editing ability, including pacing, storytelling and finishing on commercial or brand projects.
- 2–3 years of professional editing experience with an agency, production house, studio or as a freelancer.
- Advanced proficiency in DaVinci Resolve (preferred). Candidates proficient in Premiere Pro who are willing to transition to Resolve will also be considered.
- Working knowledge of After Effects for motion graphics and titles.
- Foundational hands-on Gen AI skills, including image and video generation and output refinement. Training on our pipeline will be provided.
- A sound understanding of film grammar, including shot sizes, lensing, continuity, transitions and lighting.
- Ability to deliver high-quality work within tight timelines.
- Strong communication skills for working with directors, clients and agency teams.

Preferred: Experience in compositing; automotive, FMCG or period projects; long-form or feature film editing; and proficiency in English, Hindi, Kannada, Telugu or Tamil for regional campaigns.

Learning and Development

Editing for an emerging medium. Develop expertise in integrating AI-generated footage with live action, and in assessing when generated material meets production standards.

Cinematic direction of AI. Gain exposure to lensing, lighting and composition principles from an experienced cinematographer, applied to generative workflows.

Agency-grade finishing. Build an understanding of the standards and deliverables expected by leading agencies and their clients.

Feature film pipelines. Learn how AI and VFX are integrated into large-scale film production.

Studio-scale workflows. Contribute to building repeatable production processes within a growing AI studio.
