Role Description The Team Leader Quality – Surgery Coding role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. This role is responsible for leading the quality function for surgery coding processes, including planning and conducting regular audits of coded records to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to client and regulatory requirements. The team leader oversees quality metrics, identifies trends and root causes of errors, and collaborates with operations and coding teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.





Day-to-day activities include monitoring performance, providing feedback and coaching to team members, preparing quality reports, supporting training initiatives, and coordinating with stakeholders to maintain high-quality standards and continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Quality Control and Quality Assurance to maintain accuracy and consistency in surgery coding processes.
- Candidates should possess effective Quality Auditing and Quality Management skills to plan, execute, and improve audits and quality frameworks.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret quality data, identify trends, and recommend process improvements.
- Relevant experience in medical/surgery coding quality review within healthcare RCM or HIM environments is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of coding guidelines (e.g., ICD, CPT, HCPCS) and healthcare compliance standards is beneficial.
- Strong communication, coaching, and stakeholder management abilities, with experience leading or mentoring teams.
- Ability to work on-site in Chennai and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- A bachelor’s degree in a healthcare, life sciences, or related field; professional coding certifications (e.g., CPC, CCS) are an advantage.
