Position Summary

Senior Manager - UK Payroll - Hyderabad / Bangalore Deloitte Tax Services India Private Limited (“Deloitte Tax in India”) commenced operations in June 2004. All Deloitte Tax LLP (“Deloitte Tax”) US service lines have Deloitte Tax in India professionals aligned with US counterparts to deliver tax services to clients. Work you'll do

As a Senior Manager, Tax Services on the Global Employer Services Payroll Service Delivery team, you will be responsible for..

- Lead end-to-end UK domestic payroll delivery for a portfolio of 30–40 client engagements, including payroll review, client sign-off, issue resolution, and escalation.
- Oversee payroll workstream operations, including payroll data controls, payroll instructions, post-payroll reconciliations, management reporting, and service-level agreement performance.
- Lead, coach, and develop the offshore payroll team through recruitment, onboarding, workload planning, training, performance feedback, and career development.
- Drive UK payroll service expansion, prepare client proposals, support new-client onboarding, and lead payroll technology, process-improvement, and UK-to-India transition initiatives.
- Manage workstream financial performance and build relationships with UK engagement teams, clients, nearshore service managers, and Deloitte Tax in India leadership to improve service delivery.





The team Deloitte’s London-based Global Employer Services (GES) practice provides practical and creative payroll solutions to clients. Within GES, the Payroll Service Delivery team works with UK engagement teams to collect payroll data, prepare payroll instructions, complete post-payroll reconciliation checks, and produce management information reports in accordance with client service-level agreements.

The team also supports new-client implementations and payroll technology-platform setup to enable ongoing payroll delivery.

Location: Hyderabad / Bangalore || Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM

Qualifications Required:

- Full-time master’s degree in finance or equivalent from reputed university
- 14+ years of experience in a Big Four organization, business process outsourcing organization, or shared-services center.
- Experience managing a portfolio of 30–40 UK domestic payroll client engagements, including payroll review and client sign-off.
- Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) certification.
- Experience applying UK payroll legislation to domestic payroll processing and client deliverables.
- Experience leading offshore payroll teams, including resource allocation, training, coaching, performance feedback, and workflow management.
- Experience overseeing payroll operations, including reconciliations, issue tracking, client queries, management reporting, and service-level agreement delivery.
- Experience leading payroll transition, transformation, change-management, or process-enhancement initiatives across global delivery centers.
