Job Purpose/ Summary To oversee and manage end-to-end rail cargo handling operations, including rake unloading, material transfer, yard management, stakeholder coordination, material reconciliation, and MIS reporting to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate cargo movement.

Key Responsibilities

Operational ManagementSupervise rake unloading activities and ensure timely completion.Monitor the transfer of materials from rail wagons to designated yard locations.Oversee material loading, stacking, and movement within the yard.Ensure compliance with operational safety standards and procedures.Optimize cargo handling processes to improve operational efficiency. Coordination & Stakeholder ManagementCoordinate with Railway authorities for rake placement, unloading schedules, and other operational requirements.Liaise with Inspection and Independent Assessment (IIA. agencies for sampling, inspection, and certification activities.Coordinate with stevedoring agencies to ensure smooth and efficient cargo handling operations.Communicate effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve operational issues. Reconciliation & Inventory ControlConduct quantity and quality reconciliation of all incoming and outgoing materials.Verify cargo records against physical stock and inspection reports.Identify discrepancies and initiate appropriate corrective actions.Maintain accurate records of material receipts, movements, and dispatches.

MIS & ReportingPrepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports related to cargo movement.Track key operational metrics and submit reports to management.Maintain accurate documentation and records for all rail and yard operations.



SAP OperationsPerform basic SAP transactions related to cargo receipt, dispatch, inventory, and reporting.Ensure timely and accurate system updates.Verify system records against physical cargo movement and documentation.

Oversee and manage endtoend rail cargo handling operations ensuring timely and efficient unloading of rakesbr Coordinate material transfer and yard management to maintain operational flow and accuracybr Engage with stakeholders including Railway authorities and IIA agencies to ensure seamless operationsbr Conduct material reconciliation to verify cargo quantity and quality ensuring compliance with standardsbr Generate and analyze MIS reports to monitor and enhance operational efficiencybr Utilize MS Excel and SAP for effective project tracking and reporting ensuring data accuracybr Maintain robust communication and coordination with stevedoring contractors to facilitate cargo movementbr Apply analytical problemsolving and decisionmaking skills to address operational challengesbr Foster a global mindset and demonstrate people excellence in a dynamic fastpaced environment
