With the establishment of the 1.5 KTPA PV Ribbon Pilot Plant at the Alloy Plant, the role of the DMT –

- Operations &
- Maintenance is critical to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of production equipment while supporting the organization's early entry into the rapidly growing solar PV market.

DMT Operators will be responsible for operating and maintaining plant equipment, monitoring process parameters, maintaining product quality, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Their contribution will be essential in accelerating the learning curve, stabilizing plant operations, developing operational best practices, and building capabilities required for future capacity expansion and seamless integration with the proposed large-scale PV Ribbon manufacturing facility.

In this context, the role of DMT Member –

- Operations &
- Maintenance is critical to:

- Ensure safe and efficient operation of DMT equipment during shifts to achieve production, quality, and throughput targets.
- Monitor machine performance, process parameters, and utility systems to maintain consistent product quality and operational stability.
- Perform routine maintenance activities, basic troubleshooting, and coordinate with the maintenance team to minimize equipment downtime.
- Adhere to SOPs, preventive maintenance schedules, and operational standards for reliable plant performance.
- Identify abnormalities and take timely corrective actions to prevent process disruptions and equipment failures.
- Support commissioning, stabilization, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with EHS, quality, and statutory requirements during all operation and maintenance activities.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices for equipment reliability, process optimization, and asset management.

- Ensure protected operation and maintenance of DMT equipment by complying with SOPs, work permit systems, LOTO procedures, and all plant safety requirements.
- Participate in MOC, HIRA, PSSR, and other safety assessments whenever process, equipment, or operational changes are introduced.
- Identify and report unsafe conditions,



unsafe acts, equipment abnormalities, and potential hazards, and support timely corrective actions.
- Follow environmental, statutory, and company requirements related to waste handling, emissions control, and workplace housekeeping.
- Support implementation of preventive actions to mitigate operational, occupational health, and process-related risks.
- Contribute to Kaizen, TPM, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, reliability, productivity, and sustainability.
- Maintain assigned work areas, equipment, and utilities as per 5S standards and good housekeeping practices.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and usage of chemicals, lubricants, tools, and maintenance materials to prevent incidents and equipment damage.

- Operate and monitor DMT equipment to achieve daily production, quality, and efficiency targets while adhering to defined process parameters and SOPs.
- Identify process and equipment abnormalities, perform basic troubleshooting, and support corrective actions to minimize downtime and quality deviations.
- Execute routine inspection, operation, and maintenance activities, ensuring optimum utilization of materials, utilities, and machines.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives through KPI monitoring, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions to enhance plant performance.
- Define Model areas / machines devoid of unwanted items and make abnormality Identification (8 types) & redressal as a continuous process in all DMTs (5S &
- Kaizen).

- Optimize machine performance, resource utilization, and operating practices to achieve higher efficiency and quality output.
- Minimize changeover and restoration time by following standard procedures and ensuring quick recovery of normal operating conditions after maintenance or process interruptions.
