Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Study Abroad Tele Counselling role based in the Greater Kolkata Area. The role involves handling inbound and outbound calls to counsel prospective learners and families on suitable countries, universities, programs, eligibility criteria, and application timelines. The individual will explain admission processes, documentation requirements, and standardized tests, and guide applicants through shortlisting institutions according to academic background, budget, and career goals.

Daily tasks include maintaining detailed records in CRM systems, following up with leads, coordinating with internal teams for applications and offers,



and providing regular updates to applicants. The role also includes responding to queries via phone, email, and messaging platforms, participating in promotional campaigns, and contributing to webinars or information sessions about studying abroad.

Qualifications

- Solid counselling and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex admission and visa information clearly and empathetically.
- Proficiency in telecalling and customer service, including handling high call volumes, lead follow-up, and relationship building.
- Good organizational and documentation skills, with experience using CRM or similar tools to track enquiries, applications, and follow-ups.
- Awareness of international education systems, popular study destinations, and admission processes; prior experience in overseas education consulting is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in the Greater Kolkata Area, collaborate in a team environment, and meet targets and deadlines.
- Comfortable using digital tools for communication (email, chat, video calls) and basic office software (word processing, spreadsheets, presentations).
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a background in education, counselling, or related fields is preferred.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of regional languages is beneficial for engaging a wider range of applicants.
