Spiritual Reader & Practitioner

AdvaiticWisdom

We are looking for a Spiritual Reader & Practitioner — someone who genuinely spends time studying, reflecting on, and practising spiritual wisdom.

This is not a role that requires formal qualifications, degrees, certifications, or a particular religious background.

What matters is your depth of understanding, sincerity of practice, ability to think clearly, and willingness to keep learning.

What you will do

You will help AdvaiticWisdom explore and translate spiritual wisdom into practical paths for people.

This could include

- Reading and studying spiritual and philosophical texts from different traditions.
- Understanding the underlying principles rather than simply collecting quotes or teachings.
- Connecting spiritual wisdom with everyday human situations, struggles, desires, relationships, work, decision-making, and inner conflicts.
- Designing a practical path for an individual or a group based on their particular needs and circumstances.
- Creating reflection questions, practices, exercises, and discussions that help people apply wisdom in their lives.
- Exploring different approaches to self-inquiry, meditation, contemplation, devotion, discipline, and mindful living.
- Participating in discussions with people and understanding what they are actually struggling with before suggesting a path.
- Continuously questioning, learning, and refining our understanding.

What we are looking for

There are no formal qualification criteria.

You may be deeply interested in Advaita Vedanta, Sanatan Dharma, Buddhism, Yoga, Vedanta, or other wisdom traditions.

You may have studied formally,

or you may simply have spent years reading, reflecting, and practising on your own.

What matters more is

- Genuine interest in spiritual wisdom.
- A regular personal practice.
- Curiosity and willingness to read deeply.
- Ability to distinguish understanding from belief.
- Ability to listen without immediately giving advice.
- Ability to look at a person's situation without imposing your own beliefs.
- Clear thinking and positive judgement.
- Humility about what you know and don't know.
- Ability to explain complex ideas in simple language.
- Willingness to learn from different traditions and perspectives.

What this role is not

This is not about becoming a guru, giving religious sermons, or convincing people to follow a particular belief system.

We are interested in understanding wisdom and making it practical, accessible, and relevant to everyday life.

The goal is not to tell someone how to live.

The goal is to help them see more clearly, develop better judgement, and discover a wiser way forward for themselves.

A typical assignment

Someone may approach us with a situation such as:

«"I have achieved most of what I wanted in my career, but I still feel dissatisfied and constantly compare myself with others."»

Your role would be to understand the person and the problem, explore relevant wisdom and practices, and help design a practical path for them.

That path could involve reading, self-inquiry, reflection, meditation, changes in daily habits, specific questions to contemplate, or a combination of approaches.

The same principle could be applied to a group facing a common challenge.

How we will work

This will initially be a collaborative role.

You will not be expected to have all the answers.

We want someone who enjoys reading, questioning, discussing, experimenting, and learning — and who wants to contribute to building something that makes wisdom more practical for ordinary people.

Who should apply?

If you have ever thought:

"There is a lot of wisdom available, but how do we actually apply it to a person's life?"

—you may be the kind of person we are looking for.

No degree.

No certification.

No specific age.

No specific religious background.

Just genuine interest, sincere practice, deep reading, and the ability to think and learn.

To apply

Instead of a conventional CV, tell us:

- What spiritual or philosophical traditions have you explored?
- What books, teachers, or texts have influenced your thinking?
- What practices do you personally follow?
- What does "living wisely" mean to you?
- Pick one common human struggle — such as anger, desire, fear, comparison, attachment, or dissatisfaction — and briefly describe how you would help someone work through it.

We are more interested in how you think and what you have explored than in your qualifications.
