Job Purpose:-

To supervise day-to-day production activities and ensure that cleaning and hygiene products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and as per approved quality standards, production plans, SOPs, and batch requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Execution

- Execute daily production plans as per production schedule.
- Ensure timely completion of batches as per planned quantity and timelines.
- Allocate manpower, machines and resources effectively.
- Monitor production output and report delays or bottlenecks.

Batch Manufacturing

- Ensure manufacturing is carried out as per approved BMR/BPR, formulation and SOP.
- Monitor addition of raw materials, mixing time, temperature, pH and other product-specific parameters.
- Ensure correct sequence and quantity of raw material addition.
- Monitor batch-to-batch consistency.

Manpower Management

- Allocate operators/helpers to different production activities.
- Supervise attendance, discipline and productivity of workers.
- Provide on-job training to operators regarding SOPs and safe working practices.
- Ensure optimum manpower utilisation.

Quality Control

- Coordinate with QC for in-process and finished product testing.
- Ensure production parameters are maintained within specified limits.
- Immediately report deviations, rejections or quality issues to Production Manager and QC/QA.
- Ensure corrective actions are implemented.

Machine & Equipment Management

- Ensure proper operation of mixers, filling machines, capping machines, labelling machines and other production equipment.




- Coordinate with Maintenance for breakdowns and preventive maintenance.
- Reduce machine downtime and production interruptions.

Material Management

- Coordinate with Stores for timely availability of RM and PM.
- Ensure correct RM/PM is issued against the batch.
- Prevent material wastage and unnecessary consumption.
- Monitor production yield and material reconciliation.

Safety & Compliance

- Ensure workers use appropriate PPE.
- Follow chemical handling and workplace safety procedures.
- Ensure secure handling of acids, alkalis, surfactants, fragrances, disinfectants and other chemicals.
- Report unsafe conditions and incidents immediately.

Documentation

- Ensure proper completion of BMR/BPR, production reports and shift reports.
- Maintain production output, rejection, wastage and downtime records.
- Record batch quantities and process parameters accurately.
- Submit daily production reports to the reporting manager.

5S & Housekeeping

- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the production area.
- Ensure proper storage and identification of raw materials and finished goods.
- Implement 5S and good housekeeping practices.

Coordination

- Coordinate with QC, QA, Stores, Maintenance, Planning and Dispatch.
- Resolve day-to-day production issues in coordination with concerned departments.
- Ensure smooth handover between shifts.
