Job Description: Key Responsibilities

- Manage the overall mechanical maintenance activities of the plant.

- Plan and execute preventive, predictive, breakdown, and shutdown maintenance.

- Ensure maximum availability and reliability of plant machinery and equipment.

- Supervise maintenance of conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, compressors, crushers, fans, motors, and hydraulic systems.

- Handle maintenance of DRI kilns, coolers, material handling systems, and other plant equipment, as applicable.

- Analyze recurring breakdowns and implement root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions.

- Prepare maintenance schedules, budgets, and annual shutdown plans.

- Monitor spare parts inventory, maintenance costs, and equipment performance.

- Coordinate with Production, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Projects departments.

- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, LOTO, SOPs, and permit-to-work systems.

- Lead, train, and manage engineers, supervisors, fitters, and technicians.

- Prepare maintenance reports, equipment history, and performance MIS.
