Role Description This full-time Site Civil Engineer role is an on-site position based in Chennai.

The Site Civil

Engineer will oversee day-to-day construction activities, including supervising site works, ensuring compliance with design specifications, and coordinating with contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.

Responsibilities include monitoring project progress, verifying material quality, supporting planning and scheduling, and maintaining safety and regulatory standards on site. The role also involves interpreting drawings, resolving technical issues, preparing site reports, and assisting in quality control and inspection processes.

Engineer will contribute to timely project completion while maintaining high standards of workmanship and documentation.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of Civil Engineering Design and Civil Engineering principles, with the ability to interpret and apply structural and infrastructure design specifications.
- Experience working as part of a team of Civil Engineers, with skills in site coordination, teamwork, and cross-functional communication.
- Competence in project Planning, including scheduling, resource allocation, and monitoring progress against timelines and milestones.
- Understanding of Stormwater Management practices and related site drainage and infrastructure requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
- Experience in building construction projects (commercial and/or residential), preferably in an on-site engineering capacity.
- Familiarity with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and quality assurance processes.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and site layouts; basic knowledge of AutoCAD or similar tools is an advantage.
- Robust problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks on site.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for reporting and coordination with site and office teams.
