Role Description The Senior Wedding Planner will lead the end-to-end planning and execution of luxury and destination weddings, ensuring each event aligns with the client’s vision and Viraaya Weddings’ quality standards. This full-time, on-site role is based in Delhi, India, and involves managing client consultations, developing detailed event plans and timelines, and coordinating with venues, vendors, and internal teams. Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing budgets, contracts, and logistics; directing décor and design implementation; and managing guest experience and hospitality.

The Senior Wedding

Planner will supervise on-ground operations, handle last-minute changes, and ensure seamless event flow from pre-wedding functions through post-event wrap-up. The role also includes mentoring junior team members,



maintaining strong client relationships, and contributing ideas to enhance the company’s service offerings.

Qualifications

- Solid event planning and wedding planning skills, with proven experience managing complex, multi-day luxury or destination weddings.
- Expertise in planning and budgeting, including cost estimation, vendor negotiations, and maintaining financial oversight throughout the project.
- Excellent customer service capabilities, with the ability to build trust, manage expectations, and communicate clearly with clients and guests.
- Experience in overall project planning and coordination, including timelines, checklists, and cross-functional collaboration with design, production, and hospitality teams.
- Prior leadership experience in event management or wedding planning, with the ability to supervise teams and manage on-site operations under pressure.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple events or workstreams simultaneously.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Hindi or additional Indian languages is an advantage for client and vendor communication.
- Comfort working on-site during evenings, weekends, and extended hours as required by event schedules.
- Relevant education in event management, hospitality, luxury management, or a related field is preferred, along with familiarity with luxury venues and vendors in India and international destinations.
