Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned and strategic Senior PR Manager – BFSI to lead integrated public relations initiatives for clients across the Banking, Financial Services and Insurance sector. The ideal candidate should bring extensive experience in financial communications, strong relationships with business and financial media, and the ability to drive strategic counsel, high-impact campaigns, and reputation management for leading BFSI brands.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the development and execution of strategic PR and media relations programmes for BFSI clients, including banks, financial institutions, insurance companies, fintech brands, and other financial services organisations.
- Build and strengthen relationships with senior business journalists, financial editors, industry publications, and key media stakeholders.
- Develop compelling communication strategies, media narratives, thought leadership programmes, and executive profiling initiatives.
- Drive proactive media engagement through press releases, media pitches, interviews, expert commentary, opinion articles, and industry insights.
- Provide strategic communication counsel to clients, aligning PR initiatives with their business objectives and reputation priorities.
- Lead senior spokesperson profiling, media interactions, press conferences, and other high-impact communication initiatives.
- Identify emerging industry trends, regulatory developments,



market movements, and news opportunities to position clients as credible industry voices.
- Oversee crisis communication, reputation management, and sensitive media situations, ensuring timely and effective responses.
- Manage senior client relationships, lead strategic reviews, and identify opportunities to strengthen existing accounts and expand mandates.
- Supervise account teams, mentor team members, and ensure excellence in campaign planning, execution, reporting, and client servicing.
- Monitor media performance, evaluate campaign effectiveness, and deliver strategic insights and recommendations to clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging, high-quality deliverables, and timely execution across accounts.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

- 7–9 years of experience in public relations, preferably with a reputed PR agency handling BFSI accounts.
- Strong understanding of the banking, financial services, insurance, fintech, and broader financial ecosystem.
- Established relationships with business and financial media, including senior journalists and editors.
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic communications, media relations, thought leadership, and reputation management.
- Excellent writing, presentation, negotiation, and client advisory skills.
- Proven ability to manage complex accounts, lead teams, and deliver impactful communication outcomes.
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Ability to thrive in a quick-paced agency environment while managing multiple client priorities.
