Cubus Verde is growing and is recruiting Senior Application Engineers in building automation for our Bangalore team.

We are looking for experienced building automation engineers whose core strength is hands-on PLC/DDC programming and HVAC controls, and who want greater responsibility across programming, testing, troubleshooting and commissioning support.

At Cubus Verde, you work directly with live projects in Sweden and Europe. You stay close to the required function, the programming, the project team and the feedback from commissioning, with the responsibility to turn technical requirements into reliable working applications.

This is a role for someone who wants to own the application, not just write the code.

The role

As Senior Application Engineer, you take technical responsibility for building automation applications from understanding the required function through to tested programming and commissioning support.

- Develop PLC/DDC applications for building automation and HVAC systems.
- Translate functional descriptions and sequences of operation into reliable control logic.
- Program HVAC systems such as AHUs, chillers, heating systems, pumps, VAVs, FCUs, heat exchangers and room control.
- Configure BMS/HMI solutions and integrate systems using relevant communication protocols.
- Test, simulate and validate your own applications before project delivery.
- Participate in remote commissioning, troubleshoot system behaviour and adapt control logic when real site conditions require it.
- Work closely with Project Managers, engineers and site teams in Bangalore, Sweden and across our European projects.
- Identify technical gaps, risks and missing information early and drive issues toward resolution.
- Support less experienced engineers and contribute to our programming standards, reusable solutions and engineering methods.

Programming is the core of the role. At the same time, you need to understand how software behaves in a real installation and be able to troubleshoot beyond the engineering environment when projects move into commissioning.

What you need to bring





Hands-on experience in building automation and HVAC controls programming is a requirement for this role.

You need a practical understanding of how ventilation, heating, cooling, pumps, valves, dampers, sensors and room functions work together, and you should be able to read and understand functional descriptions, sequences of operation and technical documentation.

We value experience in several of the following areas:

- Typically, 5+ years of relevant experience in building automation / BMS.
- Strong hands-on PLC/DDC programming and control logic development.
- HVAC control applications, testing and troubleshooting.
- BMS/HMI configuration and system integration.
- BACnet, Modbus and similar building automation communication protocols.
- Commissioning and site exposure, with remote commissioning experience particularly valuable.
- Working independently, identifying technical issues early and taking ownership through to a working result.
- Clear written and spoken English and the ability to communicate calmly and effectively with project and site teams.

Experience with different control systems, BMS platforms and integration technologies is an advantage, but we value your understanding of functions, programming and systems more highly than experience with any specific manufacturer.

If you have robust hands-on commissioning and site experience, that is naturally valuable.

If your background is primarily programming but you have supported testing and commissioning and can demonstrate that you understand real site conditions, we are also interested.

We can help you learn our standards, tools and ways of working. The practical building automation programming capability and HVAC understanding, however, need to be there from day one.
