Role DescriptionJaDel Digital is looking for a Senior AI-Assisted Full-Stack Developer to design and develop a up-to-date event management web application using Next.js, React, Node.js, TypeScript, and a relational database.

This is a 30-day project-focused contract role for a developer who can independently take a well-defined product requirement and turn it into a production-ready web application.

The developer will be responsible for the complete development lifecycle, including application architecture, database design, frontend development, backend/API development, third-party integrations, testing, debugging, deployment, and technical documentation.

A major part of this role will involve AI-assisted development / vibe coding using tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent AI coding assistants to accelerate development and meet the aggressive delivery timeline.

However, the developer must have strong software engineering fundamentals and be capable of reviewing, debugging, securing, testing, refactoring, and taking ownership of AI-generated code rather than relying on AI output without validation.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working independently, making pragmatic technical decisions, rapidly iterating on features, and delivering a functional MVP within the defined 30-day timeline.

This is a fully remote contract position with close collaboration with product stakeholders and the JaDel Digital team.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop the event management web application using Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Node.js.
- Translate detailed product requirements into functional, production-ready features.
- Design appropriate database schemas and implement reliable data access and business logic.
- Develop and integrate REST APIs and third-party services as required.
- Build responsive and intuitive user interfaces for desktop and mobile users.
- Implement authentication, authorization, user roles, and appropriate security controls.
- Develop forms, dashboards, workflows, event management functionality, and other application features defined in the product requirements.




- Integrate external services such as payment gateways, email, notifications, file storage, or other APIs where required.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and refactoring.
- Review and validate AI-generated code for correctness, security, performance, maintainability, and scalability.
- Write appropriate unit, integration, and functional tests.
- Debug issues across the frontend, backend, database, and integrations.
- Use Git/GitHub effectively for version control and maintain clean, manageable commits.
- Deploy the application to a production or staging environment and ensure the application is properly configured.
- Participate in regular progress reviews and provide clear updates on development status, blockers, and risks.
- Deliver source code, deployment configuration, documentation, and necessary handover materials at project completion.

Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience in full-stack web development or equivalent hands-on production experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Next.js and React.js.
- Strong knowledge of Node.js and backend/API development.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript.
- Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
- Good understanding of SQL databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
- Experience with database design, relationships, queries, and data validation.
- Experience implementing authentication and authorization, including role-based access where required.
- Strong understanding of responsive web development, reusable components, and modern frontend architecture.
- Experience with Git and GitHub.
- Experience deploying web applications to platforms such as Vercel, AWS, Azure, GCP, or equivalent hosting platforms.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to independently take ownership of a feature or application from development through deployment.
- Experience working with third-party APIs and integrations.
- Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, clean code, error handling, security, and testing.

AI-Assisted Development RequirementsThe ability to effectively use AI coding tools is an important part of this role. Candidates should have hands-on experience with one or more AI-assisted development tools such as:
- Cursor
- Claude Code
- GitHub Copilot
- Windsurf
- OpenAI-based coding tools
- Other comparable AI development tools

Candidates should be comfortable using AI to:
- Generate application boilerplate and components.
- Accelerate frontend and backend development.




- Generate and improve tests.
- Debug and investigate issues.
- Refactor existing code.
- Generate documentation.
- Explore implementation approaches.
- Rapidly prototype and iterate on features.

Important: AI-generated code must be reviewed and validated by the developer. Candidates should be capable of identifying incorrect, insecure, inefficient, or poorly structured AI-generated code and improving it before it reaches production. Preferred QualificationsThe following would be advantageous but are not mandatory:

- Experience building event management, booking, ticketing, registration, scheduling, or marketplace applications.
- Experience with payment gateway integrations.
- Experience with QR code generation or scanning.
- Experience with email, SMS, WhatsApp, or push notification integrations.
- Experience building administrative dashboards.
- Experience with cloud deployment and basic DevOps practices.
- Experience with Docker and CI/CD.
- Experience with Redis, background jobs, queues, or caching.
- Experience working in an agile or rapid-development environment.
- Previous experience delivering an MVP under a tight deadline.

Project & Delivery ExpectationsThis is a time-sensitive 30-day development project. The selected developer should be able to:

- Start immediately or within a short notice period.
- Commit substantial/full-time availability during the project.
- Work independently with clearly defined requirements.
- Deliver features incrementally rather than waiting until the end of the project.
- Participate in frequent progress demonstrations.
- Identify technical risks early and communicate blockers immediately.
- Maintain production-quality code despite the accelerated development timeline.
- Complete development, testing, deployment, and handover within the agreed project timeline.
