Role Description The Senior Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai and is responsible for managing the company’s core accounting and financial reporting activities. The role includes maintaining accurate general ledgers, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, processing invoices, and ensuring timely bank reconciliations.

The Senior

Accountant will prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, support budgeting and forecasting, and monitor cash flow and cost controls.





Responsibilities also include ensuring compliance with Indian accounting standards, tax regulations, GST, and other statutory requirements, as well as coordinating with auditors and supporting internal controls. The role will collaborate with management on financial analysis and provide insights that support business decisions and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, financial reporting, and reconciliation.
- Candidates should possess skills in tax compliance and regulatory knowledge, including GST, TDS, and other statutory filings relevant to Indian accounting standards.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in accounting software and tools, such as Tally, ERP systems, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Candidates should possess financial analysis and planning abilities, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost control.
- Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with management, auditors, and cross-functional teams.
- Relevant qualifications such as a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce; CA/ICWA/CPA or equivalent skilled certification is preferred.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or coatings-related business environment will be considered an advantage.
