Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced SAP Quality Management (QM) Subject Matter Expert (SME) with strong functional expertise in SAP QM and a solid understanding of pharmaceutical quality management processes.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SAP QM support and enhancement projects, including configuration, troubleshooting, functional specifications, testing, defect resolution, and coordination with ABAP development teams.

Experience in end-to-end SAP implementations, rollout projects, and integration with other SAP modules will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide functional support and enhancements for SAP QM applications in a pharmaceutical business environment.
- Analyze business requirements and configure SAP QM solutions to meet operational and quality management needs.
- Manage SAP QM master data, quality notifications, inspection processes, usage decisions, and defect recording.
- Configure and support inspection planning, inspection lots, inspection characteristics, results recording, and quality inspection processes.
- Work on QM cost management, batch management, and DMR-related processes, as applicable to the project.
- Support integration between SAP QM and other SAP modules, including EWM, PP, MM, and related applications.




- Prepare functional specifications for enhancements and coordinate with ABAP developers for development, bug fixes, and issue resolution.
- Perform functional testing, support SIT and UAT, resolve defects, and validate fixes before release.
- Support current developments, business process improvements, system enhancements, and rollout activities.
- Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis to ensure timely resolution.
- Follow IT service management processes, including Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, and Release Management.
- Prepare functional documentation, test scripts, configuration documents, and user guidance materials.
- Collaborate with business users, technical teams, and other SAP functional consultants to deliver reliable solutions.

Mandatory Skills and Experience
- Strong hands-on functional experience in SAP Quality Management (QM).
- Extensive experience in SAP QM support and enhancement projects.
- Practical knowledge of SAP QM configuration, master data, inspections, notifications, usage decisions, and defect recording.
- Experience with batch management and QM cost management.
- Knowledge of DMR (Dynamic Modification Rule), where applicable.




- Experience integrating SAP QM with SAP EWM, PP, MM, and other relevant modules.
- Understanding of pharmaceutical quality management business processes.
- Experience preparing functional specifications and working with ABAP teams on enhancements and bug fixes.
- Experience in functional testing, defect resolution, and production support.
- Knowledge of Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management processes.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in end-to-end SAP QM implementation projects.
- Experience in SAP QM rollout and enhancement projects.
- Exposure to pharmaceutical quality processes, including inspection planning, batch-related quality controls, and quality documentation.
- Experience supporting complex SAP landscapes and cross-functional integrations.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Ideal Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate is a hands-on SAP QM functional expert who can independently manage support issues, deliver enhancements, translate business requirements into SAP configurations, and collaborate effectively with technical and functional teams. Candidates with pharmaceutical industry experience and a strong combination of SAP QM configuration, integration, and production support expertise are preferred.
