Role Description The Regional Collection Manager – Vehicle Finance is responsible for overseeing and optimizing collections operations for vehicle finance portfolios across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. This full-time, on-site role involves leading and mentoring collection teams, setting regional recovery targets, and monitoring performance against defined metrics. The role includes designing and implementing collection strategies, managing delinquent accounts, coordinating with branch teams, legal and recovery partners, and ensuring adherence to regulatory, compliance, and company guidelines.

The manager will regularly review portfolio health, analyze trends in non-performing assets, prepare reports for senior leadership,



and recommend process improvements. The position also involves building solid customer relationships, resolving escalated cases professionally, and maintaining high standards of conduct and data security.

Qualifications

- Strong expertise in collections management, vehicle finance operations, and portfolio monitoring, with proven experience handling regional or multi-branch responsibilities.
- Skills in data analysis, reporting, and performance tracking, including the ability to interpret collection metrics, delinquency trends, and recovery effectiveness.
- Experience in team leadership, people management, and stakeholder coordination, with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop collection staff.
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to lending, collections, and customer data protection, and adherence to ethical practices.
- Effective communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills for engaging customers, resolving disputes, and managing escalations.
- Familiarity with collection tools, loan management systems, and basic MS Office applications for daily operations and reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Commerce, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Relevant experience in vehicle finance or retail lending collections within the Mumbai Metropolitan Region or similar markets is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site across branches in the region, with flexibility to travel as required.
