Role Description The R&D; Manager is a full-time role based in Udaipur with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing some work from home. This role leads the design, development, and improvement of spice and seasoning formulations, including conducting trials, optimizing recipes, and validating product performance. The R&D; Manager collaborates with production, quality, and commercial teams to ensure feasibility, scalability, and regulatory compliance of new products.

Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing laboratory and pilot-scale activities, managing documentation and specifications, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting customer-specific projects. The role also involves guiding the R&D; team, setting priorities,



and ensuring timely delivery of development projects aligned with business objectives.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess solid Research and Development (R&D;) and Research skills, including formulation, sensory evaluation, and data analysis.
- Candidates should possess Team Management and Team Leadership skills to direct, mentor, and motivate cross-functional R&D; personnel.
- Candidates should possess Project Management skills to plan, execute, and deliver multiple development projects within timelines and budgets.
- Sound knowledge of food science, food safety standards, and spice/seasoning processing, preferably within B2B or industrial food settings.
- Ability to collaborate with manufacturing, quality assurance, and sales teams, and to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Chemistry, or a related discipline; prior experience in R&D; for seasonings, spices, or food ingredients is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with proficiency in basic computer applications and R&D; reporting tools.
