Job Title - QA Engineer

We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer with strong hands-on experience in both manual and automation testing to ensure the quality, reliability, performance, and functionality of our applications.

The ideal candidate should have practical experience in designing test cases, developing and executing automation scripts, API testing, database validation, and performance testing. We are open to candidates who have worked with different programming languages, automation frameworks, and testing tools, provided they have a solid understanding of testing fundamentals and can demonstrate hands-on automation experience.

The candidate will collaborate closely with developers, product teams, and other stakeholders in an Agile environment to identify defects early and deliver high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities

- Manual Testing & Test Design

- Understand business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories to identify testing requirements.
- Design, write, review, and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and exploratory testing.
- Identify, document, track, and retest defects using defect-tracking tools.
- Ensure adequate test coverage, including positive, negative, boundary, and edge-case scenarios.

2. Automation Testing
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web applications, APIs, or other relevant systems.
- Demonstrate hands-on experience with at least one automation programming language and framework.
- Maintain and enhance automation frameworks, reusable scripts, and test utilities.




- Identify suitable test cases for automation and contribute to improving test coverage and execution efficiency.
- Debug failed automation scripts and investigate test failures to distinguish application defects from script-related issues.

3. API & Database Testing
- Perform API testing to validate endpoints, request and response payloads, status codes, headers, authentication, and error handling.
- Validate data integrity and application behavior through database queries.
- Write SQL queries to verify records, relationships, and backend data consistency.
- Identify issues involving API integrations, database operations, and data processing.

4. Performance Testing
- Perform basic performance, load, stress, or scalability testing as required by the application.
- Use performance-testing tools to identify response-time issues, bottlenecks, and system behavior under load.
- Analyze test results and collaborate with development teams to investigate performance issues.

5. CI/CD & Agile Collaboration
- Work in an Agile/Scrum SDLC environment, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives as applicable.
- Collaborate with developers and product stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Integrate or execute automated tests within CI/CD pipelines, or demonstrate a sound understanding of CI/CD concepts and workflows.




- Contribute to continuous improvement in testing processes, release quality, and defect prevention.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 2–5 years of relevant experience in software quality assurance and testing.
- Strong fundamentals in manual testing, test-case design, test scenarios, defect lifecycle, and regression testing.
- Hands-on experience in automation testing using any programming language and automation framework.
- Practical exposure to API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of SQL and database testing.
- Basic hands-on experience or practical understanding of performance testing using tools such as JMeter, k6, or equivalent.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated test execution is preferred.
- Good analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
- Willingness to work in office in Raipur or Mangalore.

Automation Technologies We Are Open To Candidates with experience in any relevant combination of the following technologies are welcome:
- Languages: Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, or similar.
- Automation frameworks/tools: Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, Robot Framework, pytest, TestNG, or equivalent.
- API testing: Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent tools.
- Database Testing
- Performance testing: JMeter, k6, LoadRunner, or equivalent.
- CI/CD & version control: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, Git, or equivalent.

Candidates are not expected to know every tool listed. Strong practical automation skills using at least one relevant language and framework are essential.
