Role Description The Psychiatrist will provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to individuals experiencing mental health conditions in an on-site setting located in Coimbatore North. This full-time role includes conducting clinical interviews, prescribing and managing medications, developing treatment plans, and coordinating care with other healthcare and support professionals. Day-to-day responsibilities involve monitoring patient progress, maintaining accurate medical records, and offering psychoeducation to patients and families.

The Psychiatrist will also participate in case discussions, contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings, and support initiatives that promote mental wellness within the organization. The role requires adherence to ethical standards, regulatory guidelines, and evidence-based clinical practices.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Medicine and Psychiatry, with the ability to evaluate, diagnose, and treat a broad range of mental health conditions.




- Demonstrated expertise in Psychiatric Care and Mental Health management, including psychopharmacology and psychotherapy coordination.
- Experience or training in Adolescent Psychiatry, with skills in working sensitively with young people and their families.
- Valid medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and recognized postgraduate qualification in Psychiatry; active medical license and registration as required.
- Proficiency in maintaining clinical documentation, using medical records systems, and following relevant legal and ethical standards.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and cultural sensitivity skills, with the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Ability to work full time in office in Coimbatore North, manage a clinical caseload, and adapt to organizational needs.
- Prior experience in hospital, clinic, or community mental health settings is highly beneficial.
