To plan, schedule, and monitor production activities to ensure timely delivery of customer requirements, optimum utilization of machines and manpower, effective inventory management, and achievement of production targets.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer requirements and delivery schedules.
- Monitor production progress and ensure timely completion of production orders.
- Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Stores, Quality, and Supply Chain departments to ensure smooth production operations.
- Manage machine shop production planning for CNC, VMC, turning, milling, and other machining operations.
- Utilize SAP for production planning, production order processing, material availability checks, inventory monitoring, and production reporting.
- Monitor machine capacity, manpower availability, and material requirements to optimize production efficiency.
- Track production targets, actual output, rejection, downtime, and pending orders.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve productivity.
- Ensure optimum utilization of machines, manpower, and materials.
- Monitor raw material availability and coordinate with the Purchase and Stores departments to avoid production delays.
- Prepare and maintain MIS reports, production schedules, and performance reports.




- Coordinate with the Sales and Customer Service teams regarding delivery commitments and production priorities.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce lead time, improve productivity, and minimize wastage.
- Lead and guide the PPC team to achieve departmental objectives.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of Production Planning & Control in a machine shop environment.
- Hands-on experience with SAP PP (Production Planning) and SAP MM (Materials Management) modules.
- Knowledge of CNC/VMC machining processes and manufacturing operations.
- Positive understanding of capacity planning, material planning, inventory control, and production scheduling.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and production MIS reporting.
- Good communication, leadership, and team management skills.

Experience

- 5–8 years of experience in Production Planning & Control (PPC) in a machine shop or manufacturing industry, with mandatory SAP knowledge and experience in CNC/VMC machining operations.

Preferred Experience

- Candidates with experience in automotive components, precision machining, CNC/VMC machine shops, or manufacturing industries will be preferred.
