The Production Manager will oversee and optimize all manufacturing operations within the Rubber and Vinyl production unit. This role is responsible for ensuring secure, cost-effective, and high-quality production that meets delivery schedules.

? Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Execution

- Optimize workflow processes to meet daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
- Oversee manufacturing processes involving rubber and vinyl materials, including mixing, moulding, cutting, finishing, and assembly, as applicable.
- Ensure optimum utilization of raw materials, machinery, and manpower.
- Troubleshoot production bottlenecks and implement immediate corrective actions.

2. Quality Control & Technical Oversight

- Ensure that all vinyl and rubber products meet the required quality standards and product specifications.
- Monitor raw material blending (PVC resins, plasticizers, rubber polymers, accelerators) to ensure compound consistency.
- Collaborate with the R&D; and Quality Control teams to resolve product defects and reduce material wastage.

3. Maintenance & Equipment Management

- Coordinate with the maintenance team to schedule preventive maintenance of production machinery and minimize equipment breakdowns and downtime.
- Minimize unplanned downtime by ensuring quick resolution of mechanical or electrical equipment failures.

4. Safety & Compliance





- Ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures and applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Ensure safe handling of raw materials, chemical additives, production machinery and adequate ventilation.
- Maintain a safe and clean production environment and take preventive measures to minimize workplace accidents and hazards.

5. Team Leadership & Cost Control

- Lead, mentor, and evaluate supervisors, technicians, and floor operators.
- Manage the production budget, focusing on reducing material variance, labor costs, and energy consumption.

Requirements

- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Polymer Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Prior experience in production management, preferably in the sports goods, fitness equipment, rubber, vinyl, or polymer manufacturing industry.
- Good knowledge of rubber materials, vinyl processing and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in production planning, quality control, manpower management, and inventory control.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and operational management skills.
- Ability to manage production targets while maintaining product quality and controlling wastage.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Six Sigma methodologies will be preferred.
