? PhD Opportunity | Nanophotonics, Nonlinear Optics & Laser Physics

? Position: Full-Time, In office PhD Research Scholar

We invite applications from motivated candidates interested in pursuing doctoral research in Nanophotonics, Nonlinear Optics, Laser Physics, and Advanced Optical Materials.

The selected candidate will work in a well-equipped Nanophotonics Laboratory featuring a 532 nm pulsed Nd laser system and a complete Z-scan setup for nonlinear optical characterization.

? Research Areas

- Nonlinear optical properties of advanced materials
- Optical materials, including 2D materials, metal oxides, metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), perovskites, and phase-change materials
- Laser–material interactions and optical limiting
- Nonlinear absorption and refraction using Z-scan techniques
- Experimental research, simulations, and optical data analysis

? Eligibility & Candidate Profile
- Master's degree in Physics, Materials Science, Photonics, Nanotechnology, or a related discipline.
- Strong fundamentals in optics, laser physics, and materials science.
- Background or research interest in photonics, nonlinear optics,



or optical materials.
- Prior experience with laser systems and optical experiments is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with MATLAB, COMSOL, or related simulation and data-analysis tools is an advantage.
- Good scientific writing, communication, and presentation skills.
- Candidates with prior research experience or publications in relevant fields are encouraged to apply.

? PhD Stipend
- ₹31,000 per month for candidates without UGC-NET qualification.
- ₹37,000 per month for candidates with UGC-NET qualification.
