Role Description The Packaging Development Specialist is a full-time, in office role based in Hyderabad. This role involves designing and developing innovative, compliant, and cost-effective packaging solutions for pharmaceutical products across multiple dosage forms and markets. The specialist will collaborate closely with R&D;, production, quality, regulatory, and supply chain teams to ensure packaging meets safety, stability, and regulatory requirements while supporting efficient manufacturing and distribution.





Day-to-day activities include evaluating new packaging materials and technologies, conducting packaging trials and validations, preparing technical documentation, and addressing packaging-related deviations or improvement opportunities. The role also includes managing packaging development projects, coordinating with external vendors, and contributing to continuous improvement in packaging processes and standards.

Qualifications

- Strong expertise in Packaging Engineering and Pharmaceutical Packaging, with the ability to translate product and regulatory requirements (USA/EU) into robust packaging solutions.
- Proficiency in Packaging Design, including structural design, material selection, and compatibility assessment for various dosage forms and global markets.
- Experience in Commercial activities.
- Demonstrated Project Management skills to plan, execute, and monitor packaging development projects, manage timelines, and coordinate cross-functional stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Packaging Technology, Engineering, Pharmacy, or a related scientific discipline (Preferably IIP).
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical regulatory guidelines and quality systems (e.g., USFDA, EU, WHO) as they apply to packaging development and validation.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on operational efficiency and cost optimization.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work with multidisciplinary teams and external suppliers.
