We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Operations & Sourcing Intern who will help build Brugo’s vendor network and sourcing operations for raw materials and home improvement products.

Role Overview

As an Operations & Sourcing Intern, you will be responsible for sourcing vendors for the SKUs listed in Brugo’s raw material catalogue. You will independently identify suppliers, contact multiple vendors for each product, collect and compare quotations, negotiate competitive prices, and create a reliable database of verified vendors.

This is an end-to-end execution role where you will take ownership of the sourcing process, from finding the right supplier to recommending the best purchasing option based on price, quality, availability, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Vendor Identification & Sourcing

- Work with Brugo’s existing list of raw material and home improvement product SKUs.
- Identify and shortlist approximately 10–20 vendors for each SKU, wherever feasible.
- Find vendors through online research, local markets, manufacturer and distributor networks, and direct outreach.
- Identify manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors, and retailers who can supply the required products.

2. Vendor Outreach & Price Discovery

- Call or contact shortlisted vendors to understand product availability, specifications, and pricing.
- Collect quotations for the same SKU from multiple vendors.




- Compare prices while ensuring that product specifications, brands, grades, sizes, and units are consistent.
- Negotiate for the best possible rates, bulk pricing, and other commercial benefits.
- Record minimum order quantities, delivery timelines, payment terms, and transportation charges.

3. Price Comparison & Vendor Selection

- Prepare SKU-wise price comparison sheets.
- Identify the most competitive vendor for each product based on the total landed cost, product quality, availability, and reliability.
- Highlight the lowest available price and recommend the most suitable supplier.
- Flag price variations, unavailable products, and opportunities for bulk procurement.

4. Vendor Database & Documentation

- Maintain an organised database of vendors, contact details, quotations, product categories, and commercial terms.
- Record the date of quotation and follow up to reconfirm pricing when required.
- Maintain explicit documentation so that Brugo can refer to the information for future procurement.
- Keep the sourcing tracker updated and ensure that no assigned SKU is left incomplete without a status or next action.

5. End-to-End Operations & Follow-ups

- Take ownership of assigned SKUs from initial research through final vendor recommendations.
- Follow up with vendors for pending quotations, revised prices, samples, and product details.




- Coordinate internally with the Brugo team to clarify product specifications and sourcing requirements.
- Share regular progress updates, identify bottlenecks, and ensure timely completion of the sourcing exercise.

- Good research, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfort with Excel or Google Sheets for maintaining data and preparing price comparisons.
- Attention to detail when comparing product specifications, pricing, and commercial terms.
- A proactive, organised, and ownership-driven approach to work.
- Willingness to make repeated calls, follow up persistently, and work through large product lists systematically.

- Prior experience in procurement, sourcing, vendor management, operations, or supply chain is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Candidates with experience in hardware, electricals, plumbing, paints, construction materials, or home improvement products will have an added advantage.
