The Occupational Therapist will support students in developing the physical, sensory, motor, functional and self-regulation skills required for effective participation in learning and daily school activities. The role will involve assessment, intervention planning, therapy support, progress monitoring and close coordination with teachers, parents and the Student Support / Inclusion Team.

Key responsibilities includes but not limited to:

- Conduct occupational therapy assessments to identify students’ needs in areas such as fine motor skills, gross motor coordination, sensory processing, handwriting, visual-motor integration, self-care and classroom participation.
- Develop and implement individualised therapy plans based on the identified needs of students.
- Provide individual and small-group therapy sessions as appropriate.
- Support students in improving handwriting, pencil control, posture, classroom readiness, attention, sensory regulation and functional independence.
- Recommend suitable classroom strategies, seating arrangements, sensory supports, assistive tools and environmental modifications.
- Work closely with teachers, special educators, counsellors, learning support staff and parents to ensure consistent support for the student.
- Observe students in classroom and school environments to understand functional challenges and recommend practical interventions.
- Maintain accurate assessment reports, therapy plans, session notes, progress records and review documentation.
- Monitor student progress regularly and revise intervention plans based on outcomes.
- Participate in Individual Education Plan (IEP) / student support meetings and contribute relevant therapy goals and recommendations.
- Guide teachers and parents on simple exercises, strategies and activities that can be followed in the classroom and at home.
- Support students with sensory,



developmental, neurological, physical or learning-related needs within the scope of occupational therapy practice.
- Ensure therapy equipment, sensory resources and intervention materials are maintained appropriately and used safely.
- Coordinate with external medical / therapy professionals, where authorised and required, for continuity of student support.
- Participate in school inclusion, wellbeing, awareness and professional development initiatives.
- Maintain confidentiality of student information and handle all records in accordance with school policy.
- Perform other relevant therapy and student-support responsibilities assigned by the School from time to time.

Qualification & Experience

- Bachelor’s/ Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy (BOT / MOT) from a recognised institution.
- Valid skilled registration/ licence, wherever applicable.
- Preferably 2–5 years of relevant experience, with experience working with children in schools, paediatric therapy centres or inclusive education settings being preferred.
- Knowledge of sensory integration, developmental milestones, fine and gross motor development, handwriting support and functional skill development.
- Good communication, observation, documentation and interdisciplinary coordination skills.
