About the CompanyAvyahcorp Pvt Ltd is a snacking company focused on creating tasty, high-quality products for today's consumers. We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented NPD Executive to help us develop the next generation of snacks.
Role SummaryThe NPD Executive will support the full product development lifecycle, from idea and market research to bench-top trials, plant scale-up and commercial launch. You will work closely with Marketing, Procurement, Quality, Production and Regulatory teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesConcept and research
- Track snacking trends, competitor launches and consumer preferences (flavours, health positioning, formats).
- Support ideation and concept development with the Marketing and Sales teams.
- Prepare product briefs and development timelines.
Product development
- Develop recipes and formulations on a lab or bench scale (e.g. extruded snacks, baked & roasted snacks, bars).
- Conduct trials, record observations and optimize taste, texture, shelf life and cost.
- Run sensory evaluations and incorporate feedback.
- Maintain accurate trial documentation and formulation records.
Scale-up and commercialisation
- Coordinate plant trials and support production teams in scaling up from pilot to commercial batches.
- Troubleshoot issues in processing, packaging and product consistency.
- Work with Procurement to identify and evaluate new ingredients and vendors.
- Support packaging trials with the packaging team.
Quality, compliance and costing
- Ensure products meet FSSAI regulations, labelling requirements and internal quality standards.
- Coordinate shelf-life studies and nutritional analysis.
- Prepare costing sheets and help meet target margins.
- Maintain product specifications and SOPs.
Cross-functional coordination
- Track project timelines and report progress to the NPD Manager.
- Support launch readiness, including sampling and presentations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: B.Tech, B.Sc, M.Sc, M.Tech in Food Technology, Food Science, or a related field (may be considered).
- Experience: 2-4 years in NPD or R&D; in the food or snack industry. Freshers will not be considered.
Skills and Competencies
- Knowledge of food processing (Biscuits primarily).
- Understanding of ingredient functionality, shelf life and food safety (HACCP, GMP).
- Familiarity with FSSAI regulations and labelling.
- Sensory evaluation and basic costing skills.
- High level of agility and bias to get things done
- Creativity, curiosity about food trends and a strong sense of taste.
- Good communication, teamwork and time management.
