Role Description The Montessori Directress is a full-time, on-site role based in Margherita, responsible for guiding a Montessori classroom in alignment with The Seeds School’s educational philosophy. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and maintaining a child-centered learning environment, presenting Montessori materials, and observing students to support their individual development. The Directress will plan and implement age-appropriate lessons, monitor progress, and document learning outcomes.

The role also involves regular communication with families,



collaborating with colleagues as part of an educational team, and participating in school events and community outreach. The Directress is expected to model respect, patience, and consistency, and to promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing atmosphere for all children.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated expertise in Education and Curriculum Development, particularly within Montessori or early childhood settings.
- Strong Educational Leadership abilities, including classroom management and the capacity to guide support staff effectively.
- Experience in Training and Coaching, with the ability to mentor colleagues and support parents in understanding Montessori practices.
- Recognized Montessori certification (AMI/AMS or equivalent) and a relevant degree or diploma in early childhood education or primary education.
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills, with the ability to engage respectfully with children, families, and colleagues.
- Proven ability to create inclusive, safe, and developmentally appropriate learning environments that honor diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
- Strong observation, documentation, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and reliability in daily classroom routines.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and alignment with The Seeds School’s mission, values, and child-centered approach.
