InfinityX Innovations is building next-generation ultra-fast EV charging and battery-swapping infrastructure. We are looking for a hands-on Mechanical Design Engineer with strong experience in special purpose machines (SPMs), complex electromechanical machinery, or battery-swapping systems.

This is not a general mechanical design role. We need someone who has designed machines with multiple moving mechanisms, actuators, sensors, precision alignment, safety interlocks, and integration with electrical/control systems.

What you’ll do

- Design battery-swapping machines, automated assembly/test equipment, SPMs, jigs, fixtures, and handling systems.
- Own mechanical design from concept to detailed CAD, BOM, drawings, prototyping, testing, and production release.
- Design mechanisms involving linear motion, rotary motion, indexing, clamping, lifting, locking, and precision positioning.
- Select standard mechanical components: actuators, guide-ways, bearings, motors, gearboxes, sensors, pneumatic/hydraulic components, and structural elements.
- Work with electrical, embedded, and controls teams for machine integration, safety, and commissioning.
- Perform DFM/DFA, tolerance stack-up, GD&T;, and design for reliability and maintainability.
- Support vendor development, fabrication, assembly, debugging, and machine trials.

Must-have experience

- 3+ years designing SPMs,



automation machines, complex electromechanical equipment, or battery-swapping machines.
- Strong CAD skills; Fusion 360 preferred (SolidWorks/Creo also acceptable).
- Practical experience with mechanisms, motion design, actuators, and machine integration.
- Ability to take a machine from concept through fabrication, assembly, testing, and commissioning.
- Good understanding of GD&T;, tolerances, materials, and manufacturing processes.

Robust advantage

- Experience in EV battery swapping, battery handling, charging systems, robotics, conveyor/automation systems, or high-precision machinery.
- Exposure to sensors, PLC/microcontroller-based machine control, and safety systems.
- Startup or fast-paced product development experience.
