Job Summary

We are looking for a Mechanical Drawing Engineer with 1–2 years of experience in the mechanical industry. The candidate should have practical knowledge of mechanical components, dimensional measurement, reverse engineering, and manufacturing drawing preparation.

The primary responsibility is to visit customer sites, inspect existing mechanical components and equipment, take accurate measurements, and prepare detailed drawings for manufacturing.

Site visits and practical knowledge of mechanical components are mandatory priorities for this position.

Key Responsibilities

- Visit customer sites, including power plants, steel plants, cement plants, and other industrial facilities across India.
- Inspect existing mechanical components and assemblies and take accurate measurements.
- Prepare dimensional measurement sheets and record site observations.
- Perform reverse engineering of existing components and develop manufacturing drawings.
- Prepare 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
- Understand mechanical components such as shafts, sprockets, chains, bearings, rollers, couplings, bushings, and fabricated assemblies.
- Identify materials, dimensions, tolerances, fits, and machining requirements based on engineering assessment.
- Coordinate with customers, design engineers, production teams, and workshop personnel.




- Verify drawings against actual component dimensions before releasing them for manufacturing.
- Prepare site visit reports and maintain drawing revisions and technical records.

Required Skills

- Good understanding of mechanical components and engineering fundamentals.
- Practical experience in dimensional measurement and reverse engineering.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers and Micrometers.
- Basic understanding of machining, fabrication, and manufacturing processes.
- Good observation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel frequently to industrial customer sites across India.

Candidate Profile

- 1–2 years of experience in the mechanical industry.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Candidates with workshop, manufacturing, maintenance, or industrial equipment experience will be preferred.
- Candidates capable of independently measuring an existing component and preparing its manufacturing drawing will receive preference.

Important Note

This is not a desk-only drafting job. The candidate must be comfortable with frequent site visits, physical inspection of industrial equipment, component measurement, and preparation of accurate manufacturing drawings.
