Dalal Street Investment Journal (DSIJ) is one of India’s established equity research and investment media brands, serving retail investors through financial content, research and investment advisory services.

Role Objective

Own the mission of making DSIJ a highly sought-after destination for timely, useful and credible investment-market content. The person should be constantly on top of market, company and sector developments, identify strong content opportunities early and ensure that DSIJ responds with relevant, high-quality articles quickly.

This is not a role for someone waiting for topics to be assigned. We are looking for someone who actively hunts for stories, spots opportunities, drives the content agenda and has the desire to make DSIJ one of the first credible sources investors turn to for market information.

Key Responsibilities

1. Own the Market Content Agenda

- Decide what DSIJ should be covering based on market developments, investor interest and emerging opportunities.
- Continuously track corporate announcements, results, order wins, regulatory updates, IPOs, sector developments and other market-moving events.
- Identify stories and angles that matter to investors.
- Proactively initiate coverage rather than depend only on an editorial calendar.
- Develop a strong instinct for what should be published now, what deserves deeper coverage and what can make users return regularly.

2. Drive Fast & Relevant Publishing

- Quickly convert important developments into clear, factual and investor-friendly articles.
- Coordinate with available writers/content resources wherever required to ensure timely publishing.
- Balance speed with accuracy, credibility and financial relevance.
- Add useful context and investor perspective rather than merely reproduce available news.




- Aim to be among the first credible publishers on important market developments.

3. Work Closely with Traffic & Audience Growth

- Work closely with the digital traffic/growth owner to understand page views, unique users, search behaviour, traffic sources and article performance.
- Use traffic insights to improve topic selection, publishing timing, formats and follow-up coverage.
- React quickly when traffic trends indicate an emerging chance or content gap.

4. AI-Assisted Content Scaling

- Actively use AI for news discovery, research organisation, first drafts, summaries, data extraction, headlines, SEO elements and article preparation.
- Work closely with the AI team to identify new workflows and agents that can improve content output.
- Constantly look for ways to publish more high-quality content without proportionately increasing manpower.
- Retain human financial judgement and editorial responsibility for the final output.

What We Are Looking For

- Strong understanding of the Indian stock market, companies, sectors and financial terminology.
- Strong financial writing and editing ability.
- A natural instinct for identifying what is newsworthy and what investors are likely to care about.
- High level of curiosity, urgency and awareness of what is happening in the market.
- Strong ownership mindset and ability to drive work across teams.
- Comfortable working with traffic data and using it to influence content decisions.
- Strong inclination towards AI, experimentation and new ways of producing and distributing content.

Requirements

Education: Graduate in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Management, Journalism or a related discipline. Strong stock-market understanding and demonstrated content judgement are more important than the specific qualification.

Experience: 3–6 years in financial content, business journalism, investment media, equity/market research content or a related role. Experience independently identifying and driving market stories will be preferred.
