About the role
As a Learning Experience Associate for Build Sprint, you will own the learner experience from the day someone joins for the cohort until they earn their certification.
Your job is easy: make sure people don't stay stuck. You'll help them set up, build, keep pace with the cohort and get across the finish line.
What Build Sprint is?
Build Sprint is four weeks of live classes. People build an AI-native product, learn to sell it, and finish with a certification in AI.
The room has product managers, marketers, designers, founders and engineers. Some have never opened a terminal. Some build with AI every day.
People build first, get stuck, and we teach into the moment they got stuck.
How this works:
- During cohorts - 4 weeks: Be inside the community every day, including weekends. Help learners get unstuck, run office hours, review submissions and keep people moving towards shipping.
- Between cohorts - about two months: Build better examples, checklists and demos. Look at where learners struggled and help improve the next cohort.
(The core programme is online. The team works from Bangalore.)
What you will own:
1. Own the learner experience.
From onboarding to certification, know where learners are in the journey. Send reminders, follow up and catch people falling behind before they drop out.
2. Be the first line of support.
Be in the community room every day during a cohort. Most questions should be answered the same day. If something is blocking someone from building, get to it within the hour.
3. Unblock the build.
Git issues, failed deploys,
API keys, databases, usage limits or a Windows laptop that refuses to cooperate. You don't need to know every answer immediately, but you should know how to find it and get the learner moving again.
4. Turn blockers into progress..
Run small breakouts and office hours for learners who need more help. Nobody should remain stuck until the next live session.
5. Review and grade submissions.
Review projects against the certification rubric. Your feedback should teach, not just score. Tell them what worked, what they missed, show an example and tell them what to try next.
6. Build the examples.
Create demos, sample projects, checklists and walkthroughs that make the Programme Director's live sessions easier to understand and apply.
7. Find where learners are struggling.
Before every session, tell the Programme Director what people are getting stuck on, using the learners' actual questions. What happens in the community should influence what gets taught next.
You might be right for this if:
- You have 0-3 years of experience and build with AI coding tools regularly.
- You've shipped something live, even if it was a side project.
- You're comfortable debugging basic issues across Git, deployments, APIs and databases.
- You're patient enough to explain an environment variable to a marketer without making them feel slow.
- You write clearly and can turn a confusing problem into simple next steps.
- You've completed a Build Sprint, bootcamp, hackathon or something similar and naturally found yourself helping others get unstuck.
Next steps - Attach two things with your application:
1. Something you built: A link to something you built and shipped using AI.
2. Something you can explain: A two-minute screen recording explaining one thing that confused you when you first started building with AI, and how you eventually understood it.
