: Solution Architect (Apigee)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect to take ownership of our enterprise API management ecosystem. In this senior role, you will be instrumental in the architecture, deployment, and optimization of our Apigee platforms, acting as the technical bridge between cloud infrastructure and software development teams.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Optimization: Maintain, monitor, and optimize the Apigee Hybrid platform, ensuring seamless synchronization between the cloud management plane and local runtime components.

Container Management: Deploy and manage Apigee runtime components within containerised environments (such as GKE, EKS, or AKS).

API Security & Governance: Configure and enforce API security policies, including OAuth, SAML, JWT, and SSL/TLS certificate management.

Deployment Automation: Maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment scripts to automate API proxy rollouts and runtime container updates.

Performance Monitoring: Monitor platform health, analyze hybrid traffic metrics,



and troubleshoot runtime performance bottlenecks or connectivity issues.

Team Enablement: Support development teams with API onboarding, proxy configuration, and technical troubleshooting.

Essential Requirements

Experience Level: 12+ years of overall qualified IT experience, with 3 to 5 years of specialized API architecture experience, and at least 2 years of hands-on experience administering Apigee Hybrid or Apigee Edge.

Container Orchestration: Strong practical experience with Kubernetes, Docker, container orchestration, and microservices architecture.

Cloud & Networking: Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and core networking principles (routing, load balancers, firewalls, and service meshes).

Automation & IaC: Familiarity with scripting languages (Python/Shell) and configuration management or infrastructure-as-code tools (such as Terraform or Ansible).

Problem-Solving & Collaboration: Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across cloud infrastructure and development teams.
