Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced NPD Quality Engineer with robust exposure to Valve and Transmission component manufacturing. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring First Time Right (FTR) development, customer quality requirements, PPAP submissions, validation activities, and successful product launch while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

New Product Development Quality

- Drive quality activities during new product development with a focus on First Time Right (FTR).
- Identify CTQs (Critical to Quality) and special product/process characteristics.
- Review customer specifications, VOC (Voice of Customer), and TGW/TGR learnings.
- Support product and process feasibility studies during RFQ and development stages.
- Ensure quality sign-off and smooth handover to manufacturing.

PPAP & Product Validation

- Prepare and submit PPAP documents to customers.
- Manage Design Review (DR) and product quality documentation.
- Coordinate production trials, buy-off trials, and sample submissions.
- Monitor DVP/PVP testing activities and ensure milestone adherence.




- Analyze field and customer build issues and drive corrective actions.
- Obtain customer approval for master, reference, and limit samples.

Gauge Development & Inspection

- Develop checking fixture concepts based on GD&T; requirements.
- Coordinate fixture manufacturing and customer approvals.
- Conduct Gauge Validation, Gauge MSA, and capability studies.
- Ensure timely availability of gauges for product inspection and validation.

Customer Quality Management

- Lead customer visits, joint inspections, and SIR activities.
- Ensure readiness for PPAP, QAV, PTR, and customer audits.
- Participate in VDA 6.3, IATF 16949, Homologation, IPO, and special process audits.
- Support new business development through quality readiness assessments.

Cross Functional Collaboration

- Work closely with Design, Manufacturing Engineering, Supplier Quality, Plant Quality, and R&D; teams.
- Drive structured problem-solving methodologies and preventive quality initiatives.
- Support supplier PPAP reviews and process improvement projects.

Required Skills

- Strong experience in Engine Valves, Transmission Components, Gearbox Parts, Precision Machined Components, Forgings, and Metallic Components Manufacturing.
