Role Description This full time Lead Carpenter role is a hybrid position based in Nagpur, with some work-from-home flexibility depending on project needs.

The Lead

Carpenter oversees the installation and finishing of specialized doors, including acoustical, fire-rated, and radiation-proof systems, ensuring that all work meets technical specifications and safety standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include reading and interpreting drawings, planning framing and finish carpentry tasks, assigning work to carpentry team members, and coordinating with project managers and site supervisors. The role involves hands-on use of hand tools and power tools, troubleshooting onsite issues, inspecting completed work for quality,



and maintaining accurate records of materials and time.

The Lead

Carpenter also mentors team members, supports training on safe tool usage and best practices, and helps improve workflows and installation methods.

Qualifications

- Strong foundational Carpentry skills, including layout, measurement, and construction of door frames and related structures.
- Proficiency with Hand Tools and Power Tools used in professional carpentry, with a commitment to safe operation and tool maintenance.
- Experience in Framing and structural preparation for specialized door systems, ensuring accuracy and stability.
- Demonstrated ability in Finish Carpentry, including precise fitting, trimming, and detailing of doors and hardware.
- Experience leading or supervising carpentry teams on site-based projects.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and installation manuals.
- Knowledge of safety standards and compliance practices relevant to construction and specialized doors.
- Good communication and coordination skills for working with project managers, clients, and other trades.
- Prior experience with acoustical, fire-rated, or radiation-proof doors is an advantage.
- Relevant vocational training, apprenticeship, or certification in carpentry or construction is preferred.
