ABOUT THE ROLE

Iris Global Services is hiring a dedicated Indirect Tax skilled for GST, Customs, and related indirect tax compliance, assessment, and litigation. You will act as the subject-matter expert on indirect taxes and lead a team of indirect tax.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

GST Compliance & Reporting

- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual GST compliance: GSTR-1, 3B, 9 and 9C, including reconciliation with ERP and software.
- Review ITC reconciliations (GSTR-2A/2B), reversals under Sec 17(5) and Rule 42/43, and ITC eligibility
- Ensure e-invoicing, e-way bill, and RCM compliance across registrations
- Track GST Council decisions, notifications, circulars, and case law, and communicate impact to stakeholders

Litigation, Audits & Assessment
- Draft and review replies to SCNs, DRC-01 responses, and audit/assessment submissions under GST
- Prepare and file appeals before the Appellate Authority and GSTAT; coordinate with consultants proactively.
- Handle pending litigation and assessment for the company across all the branches.

REQUIREMENTS

Must Have

- Chartered Accountant (ICAI)



with 6-10 years of post-qualification experience exclusively or primarily in indirect taxes
- In-depth knowledge of the CGST/IGST Acts, rules, and procedures, with hands-on advisory and compliance experience
- Proven experience in GST litigation: SCN replies, appeals, and personal hearings before authorities
- Working knowledge of the Customs Act, Customs Tariff, and Foreign Trade Policy
- Strong drafting and communication skills

Good to Have

- Experience in the indirect tax practice of a Big 4 or reputed consulting/law firm
- Exposure to sectors such as IT/ITES, manufacturing, or financial services
