Role Description The Assistant Manager – Purchase will oversee end-to-end procurement activities in the pharmaceutical supply chain, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials, packaging, and services. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Maharashtra, India, responsible for vendor identification, negotiation, contracting, and performance monitoring to maintain quality and compliance standards. The role includes managing purchase orders, tracking inventory levels, coordinating with production, quality, and finance teams, and optimizing purchase processes to support business goals.

Manager – Purchase will also analyze market trends, evaluate alternative suppliers,



and implement best practices in pharma procurement and supply chain management. In addition, the role involves mentoring junior team members, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting audits and regulatory requirements related to purchasing.

Qualifications

- Robust talent management capabilities, including Hiring and Recruiting skills to build and support an effective procurement team.
- Excellent Communication skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders, negotiate with suppliers, and present data-driven recommendations.
- Commitment to Service Quality in vendor management, adherence to procurement standards, and ensuring timely and compliant supply of materials.
- Experience in Training team members on purchasing processes, compliance requirements, and systems related to pharma supply chain.
- MBA or postgraduate degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field.
- 12–15 years of relevant experience in purchase or supply chain roles, preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, vendor management, inventory control, and regulatory requirements in pharma.
- Proficiency in ERP or procurement software, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to analyze data for cost optimization.
- Demonstrated negotiation, planning, and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on integrity and compliance.
