Key Responsibilities

- Lead operational planning: Develop the annual operating plan, budget and capacity requirements against sales forecasts and expansion priorities. Establish explicit responsibilities, service standards and escalation processes across the function.
- Manage procurement and vendors: Oversee sourcing execution, purchase orders and production allocation within approved budgets and specifications. Establish vendor onboarding, commercial terms, performance reviews and corrective actions covering quality, cost and delivery.
- Own product quality: Implement documented inspection and acceptance standards for jewellery, stones, workmanship, specifications and supporting documents. Establish traceability for defects, rework and returns, and prevent recurring quality failures.
- Control inventory and custody: Maintain accurate item-level records across stores, vendors, exhibitions, partner locations and transit. Own stock movements, counts and reconciliations, including memo and consignment stock where applicable. Address ageing, discrepancies and avoidable shortages.
- Deliver customer orders reliably: Own execution from accepted order through production, quality approval and delivery. Establish realistic lead times, track custom orders and communicate exceptions early to Sales.
- Lead after-sales operations: Establish dependable processes for repairs, resizing, returns and exchanges within approved policies. Link service cases to original orders and vendors, monitor resolution times and address underlying causes.
- Prepare new locations and exhibitions: Coordinate stock, logistics, fixtures, operating procedures and staff readiness for approved launches and events. Ensure secure movement, clear handovers and timely reconciliation of returning or partner-held inventory.




- Drive ERP adoption: Define operational workflows, mandatory data, approval rules and exception handling. Own operational data quality, user acceptance and team training, working with Technology to implement and improve the system.
- Improve costs and working capital: Balance stock availability with inventory investment. Reduce avoidable rework, urgent procurement and fulfilment costs, and prepare logistics and service arrangements for approved international pilots with Finance and relevant specialists.
- Build the team and performance discipline: Hire and develop operational leaders, establish procedures and review performance regularly. Report inventory accuracy, delivery reliability, quality, service turnaround, costs and risks, with clear corrective actions.

Requirements

- Substantial experience in operations and supply-chain leadership, with ownership of teams, budgets, vendors and operating performance.
- Strong jewellery-industry experience, including an understanding of production, stone and metal specifications, quality control and high-value inventory.
- Demonstrated ability to establish reliable inventory controls, order traceability and reconciliation across multiple locations.
- Experience managing procurement, manufacturing partners, custom orders and after-sales processes.
- A track record of improving delivery reliability, product quality, operating costs or working capital.
- Experience implementing or improving ERP systems, including process mapping, data discipline, user acceptance and adoption.
- Experience supporting retail openings, exhibitions or partner-operated locations; international logistics exposure is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, negotiation and leadership skills, with the ability to resolve operational issues and collaborate across functions.
