Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Design Head to lead our design team and take ownership of the brand’s collections. You will translate Modest Essentials’ identity into stylish, commercially relevant modest clothing, ensuring consistency in design, fit and quality.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan seasonal collections with the founders, aligned with customer preferences, sales insights and business priorities.
- Lead the design team, assign responsibilities and ensure deadlines are met.
- Maintain a consistent design language across collections while introducing fresh ideas.
- Oversee sketches, prints, fabric selection, colour palettes, embroidery and garment detailing.
- Guide sampling, conduct fit reviews and approve final designs for production.
- Work closely with merchandising and production teams to achieve the required quality, costing and delivery timelines.
- Research trends,



fabrics and techniques relevant to modest fashion.
- Review customer feedback and product performance to improve future collections.
- Maintain explicit technical specifications and an organised design and sampling calendar.

Requirements

- Proven experience in fashion design, including leading a team and managing collections from concept to production.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, fit and technical specifications.
- Ability to balance creative ideas with wearability, modesty and commercial appeal.
- Strong leadership, communication and planning skills.
- Proficiency in relevant design software.
- A degree or diploma in fashion design is preferred.
