About the RoleWe’re looking for an experienced Head – Civil Engineering to take overall responsibility for civil engineering and construction activities across Ista Spaces projects.

The person will lead and coordinate the engineering team, work closely with contractors, consultants, architects, and vendors, and ensure that construction work is executed efficiently, safely, within timelines, and as per the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and oversee all civil engineering and construction activities across Ista Spaces projects.
- Manage, guide, and coordinate with project engineers, site engineers, supervisors, and other technical teams.
- Monitor day-to-day construction activities and ensure execution as per approved drawings, specifications, and project timelines.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, architects, consultants, vendors, and other project stakeholders.
- Conduct regular site visits and review project progress, quality, manpower, and material requirements.
- Ensure key construction milestones are achieved within the planned schedule.
- Identify and resolve technical, execution, and site-related issues in coordination with the relevant teams.
- Monitor the quality of civil and finishing works and ensure they meet the required standards.
- Review material requirements, usage, wastage, and overall construction efficiency.




- Coordinate with design and architectural teams regarding drawings, modifications, and technical requirements.
- Monitor contractor performance, manpower deployment, productivity, and quality of work.
- Ensure proper measurements, documentation, progress reports, and project records are maintained.
- Assist in monitoring project budgets, BOQs, quantities, and construction costs.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards, construction practices, and statutory requirements.
- Conduct regular review meetings with engineers and contractors and provide direction wherever required.
- Report project progress, key challenges, delays, and resource requirements to senior management.
- Take ownership of engineering-related issues and drive them to timely resolution.
- Ensure smooth coordination between the engineering, construction, procurement, and management teams.

Team Leadership
- Provide overall technical direction and guidance to the engineering team.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor the performance of project and site engineers.
- Set clear expectations around quality, timelines, productivity, and project execution.
- Mentor and develop engineers and site teams.




- Build a strong, accountable, and efficient engineering function.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 6–15 years of relevant experience in civil construction and project execution.
- Solid experience in residential construction, preferably villas, plotted developments, or real estate projects.
- Experience managing and coordinating multiple engineers and site teams.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, project planning, quality control, and site execution.
- Good knowledge of BOQ, estimation, measurements, contractor management, and project costing.
- Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Preferred ExperienceCandidates with experience in real estate development, villa projects, residential construction, plotted developments, or housing projects will be preferred. Key Performance Indicators
