The hotel offers 136 luxurious rooms, 14 banquet halls, a multi-cuisine fine dining restaurant, a coffee shop, an all-day bespoke buffet area, and round-the-clock room service. Located on Central Bazaar Road in Ramdaspeth, the property serves business and leisure guests with upscale amenities and tailored services.

Role Description – Group Engineer The Group Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based at Hotel Centre Point in Nagpur. This position oversees the operation, maintenance, and preventive care of all engineering systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical equipment, and building infrastructure across the property, while also supporting group projects as required.

Key responsibilities include inspecting equipment, coordinating repairs, supervising maintenance staff and vendors, and ensuring compliance with safety and statutory regulations.

The Group

Engineer will plan and monitor preventive maintenance schedules, manage utilities consumption, support renovation and expansion projects, and maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities. Collaboration with hotel leadership is essential to minimize downtime, optimize guest comfort,



and ensure technical readiness for upcoming group ventures.

Qualifications

- Strong technical knowledge of hotel engineering systems (HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, mechanical equipment) with hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting experience.
- Expertise in preventive maintenance planning, asset management, and facility upkeep to ensure smooth hotel operations.
- Ability to manage vendors and contractors, review technical proposals, and oversee project execution for renovations and group initiatives.
- Knowledge of safety standards, statutory compliance, and energy-efficiency practices in hospitality facilities.
- Proficiency in maintenance logs, basic computer applications, and property management or maintenance software.
- Demonstrated leadership and team supervision skills, with the ability to train, guide, and evaluate engineering staff.
- Robust problem-solving, time management, and organizational abilities with attention to detail.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering (or equivalent technical qualification).
- Prior experience in hotel or large facility engineering operations is highly preferred; multi-property or group-level experience is an advantage.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and evenings, as required for maintenance schedules and emergency support.
- Note: This is a group-level position. The Group Chief Engineer will be responsible for all units under Centre Point Hospitality.
